DESCRIPTION:
Waltham Watch Co. No.1427 8 day black painted oval hanging library timepiece, c1925
CONDITION:
the original finish has some scratches, wear, and a few chips on the gold leaf. The painted metal dial has some small discolored areas but otherwise is quite clean. The 37-size twin-spring movement ticks and sets but will need cleaning. Ht 12.5" including hanger Dial is unusual as Roman numerals, unlike Arabic, are rarely all vertical, but usually follow the curve of the dial.
